Visual List: Reading for 2014

Once again, I have put together a smattering of books that I would like to read this year. I've plotted them out on a calendar timeline as a loose guide. Last year was the first time I made a reading list for the year (which you can look at here). I didn't read everything on my list from last year, and I read some that were not on my list, having added a few from a book club, a gift, etc. But I loved having a list for the year, and just being able to look and see what I might read next. Here is my reading list for this year:

ReadingList'14

The Angel's Game, Shadows of the Workhouse, and Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey are all number 2 in series, of which I've previously read the first and enjoyed immensely. Kristen Lavransdatter: The Wreath and The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy are both number 1 in series that I am starting. I began Brideshead Revisited last year, and plan to finish it this year. Jane of Lantern Hill is by L.M Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables. I've read A Christmas Carol, and would like to read Dickens other holiday tales, The Chimes and The Cricket on the Hearth at the end of the year. First up, The Book Thief!

And here is what I read last year in 2013:

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis

Small Things with Great Love: Adventures in Loving Your Neighbor by Margot Starbuck

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo (unabridged, but I did skip the history of the Paris sewers...)

Emily of New Moon by L.M Montgomery

Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey: The Lost Legacy of Highclere Castle by The Countess of Carnarvon

The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer

All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy

The Cather in the Rye by JD Salinger

Death Comes to Pemberley by PD James

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Happy reading to us all!
